Welcome! You’ve found the page related to my private psychotherapy practice.
I know it may feel overwhelming to start individual therapy, however you've already taken the first step by researching providers. Therapy is a truly unique gift we can offer ourselves; while it is work on both the therapist and the client's part and may have challenging moments, it will surely be an empowering and life-changing experience.
As mentioned on my “About” page, I have worked in the field of mental health for over a decade and am professionally licensed in the state of Massachusetts. I hold a bachelor of science degree in Psychology and French from the University of Florida and a master of science degree in Counseling Psychology from Northeastern University. And in case you hadn’t noticed, I am also a certified yoga teacher and enjoy teaching Yin, Hatha, and Vinyasa style yoga.
I use an integrative and holistic approach, accounting for multiple facets of an individual’s life. I pride myself as being an empathic, engaging, and collaborative provider who offers an unconditionally supportive space for individuals to learn more about themselves. I approach therapy with an eclectic and flexible style, adjusting my theoretical approach with each individual client’s needs, and even session-to-session with the same individual, if need be. I am trained in Feminist Therapy Theory, and incorporate techniques from Mindfulness-based, Existential-Humanistic, Gestalt, Psychodynamic, Dialectical Behavioral, and Cognitive-Behavioral therapies. I have also found an innate ability to seamlessly blend yogic philosophy into my clinical practice. Examining one's life through a yogic lens with compassion, intention, and refraining from judgment allows us to connect with who we truly are at our core, and for concerns to be resolved more quickly.
Within the contexts of therapy and yoga, I believe that the individual is the expert of their own experience and of their own body. Answers we seek are within us, and when we can quiet our thoughts and turn inward we find exactly what we need.
I enjoy working with individuals motivated to improve their health and well-being, increase their self-esteem and self-worth, and those looking to better navigate life transitions such as beginning or graduating from college, moving to a new city, or experiencing a change in their health. I‘m also passionate about working with fellow healers (spiritual and clinical) and Empaths.
I’m excited to partner with you on your path to a more healthy and authentic life!
